We’re on the hunt for a couple of friendly, creative and experienced Art Technicians to join our team of tip-top installers.
We arrange and hang pictures, art and mirrors in homes and offices across the country.
Often called in to rehang a whole home when people have moved or renovated, we are frequently required to design and hang picture walls and hang hefty, valuable items that people do not have the confidence or skill to tackle themselves.
It’s not as niche as it sounds… our director Patrick started things off in 2010 on his tod down in Brighton. Since then we’ve grown to a flexible team of installers in Brighton, London, Bristol, and Birmingham, and are on track for picture hanging world domination.
The business is doing well, but we’re currently not being able to book people in as quickly as we’d like – that’s where you come in!
We are after people who are comfortable coming up with creative arrangements and ideal positioning in a room, considering the relationship between the existing artwork in the room as well as the décor and lighting. At times, you will be required to create inspired picture or photo walls, often from quite disparate and eclectic mixes.
Sometimes you’ll be positioning and hanging one artwork or mirror. Other times, you will be required to arrange and hang an entire property over the course of a day or two.
You should be a problem solver, comfortable having a wide range of items on all types of walls, using a two-point fixing method where possible. You will mostly undertake jobs on your own, although we are receiving an increasing amount of jobs that require two or more installers.
We will provide you with a full hanging and fixing kit, but would expect you to supply your own hand tools, screw gun and hammer drill, etc.
We will pay you for your travel time and time on site, as well as mileage should you be driving your own vehicle.
As a freelance position, hours will fluctuate, but we work very hard and spend good money on marketing to bring in as much work per week as we can for our installers. You would need to be available a minimum of 1 day per week at first.
We use Google Calendar and WhatsApp for communication. So that we can service our clients effectively and efficiently, you need to be able to reply promptly to messages from the admin team (within reason).
